DC Marks Slug Line
Prints the key DC Marks numbers on the front of every imposed sheet, next to the marks. Saved immediately; only drawn when at least one DC mark is on in §5. Shrink Top and Barcode number print only when that mark is enabled.

Formatting comes from the tags, so it can be typed here or arrive inside a data cell — a column holding <b>FINAL NOTICE</b> prints bold with no field changes. Understood: <b> <i> <u> · <br> <p> · <ul>/<ol> + <li> · <h1>–<h3> · <span style="color:#c00; font-size:14pt; font-family:Georgia"> · old-style <font color size face>. Everything the panel below sets is the base style — the markup only says where the copy departs from it. A real < in your data should be written <.
{n}{p}{record}{records}{page}{pages}{date}{time}
{n} sequence/Bates number (start, step & padding above) · {p} total matching {n}'s scope · {record}/{records} record position & count in the merge range · {page}/{pages} output page position & count (front+back both advance it) · {date}/{time} at export time. Example: «Page {n} of {p}». Bates example: «BATES{n}» with 6-digit padding → BATES000001, BATES000002… Note: extra Copies in Merge & Export duplicate an already-numbered page — they don't advance the counter further.
If / then rules — first match wins
Image library
For variable images, the data column holds the file name (e.g. photo01.jpg). Load all referenced files into the library.
Embellishment
A column holding uv, foil, both or none overrides these switches for that record. Anything else leaves them as they are.
Condition

5 · OMR & Barcode mm — on the imposed PDF
A small 2D code with the linked MIS job number on the front of every imposed sheet. Placed automatically where no finisher reads: 6 mm clear of every mark and barcode, out of each mark's reader lane, out of the DDC QR reading range and its 80 mm keep-out, and off the artwork, crop marks, the lead-edge reserve and the slugs. Prints only when this run is linked to an MIS job.
Takes the next free number from the job range in Settings → Job numbers, shared with the Imposer so two live jobs never share a barcode. Untick to keep whatever you type here.
Register marks stay square to the sheet — only the merged records and their
crop marks turn, about the sheet center.
Marks go round the sheet 5 mm in from every edge, as the Digital Die Cut app places them.
DPC-400: 5–10 mm circles or dots. DPC-600: 3 mm dots recommended. The QR must read exactly the cut
file's name (no extension), 7–10 mm, best in the same corner on every job.
DPC-2024: its AAS reads four L-shaped corner marks instead (1 mm thick, 11–25 mm long by sheet size,
15 mm from the sides, 10 mm from the lead, 25 mm from the trail) — keep artwork 5 mm inside them.
It has no QR recall, and the mark shape, size and spacing above do not apply.
Booklet maker DSF-2200 / DSF-6000 barcode & end mark
A per-sheet feed barcode for a Duplo booklet system — the DSF feeder reads it off the lead edge of every sheet and the DBM-700 uses it for Barcode Feed Check / Barcode Random set separation. Independent of the DC cutter barcode above; both can print on the same sheet. Build the string from the same fields as the PC CONTROLLER's DSF-2200 [Details] → [Barcode] screen, then set the same numbers there.
Position defaults are a starting point, not a verified reading zone — confirm the lead-edge window and sensor position against your DSF-2200 / DSF-6000 barcode kit manual and run a test sheet before a live job. The barcode prints on fronts only, in the same mark frame as the OMR marks.
A solid black bar on the last sheet of each set. The DSF feeder's optical sensor watches for it and closes the set — the [End Mark Count] and [End Mark Random] operating modes on the PC CONTROLLER. This is the alternative to the barcode kit above, not a companion to it: a shop with no barcode kit separates sets this way.
The bar prints 100% K — a tint or a screen will not trigger the sensor. It needs 5–10 mm of clear paper all round; anything printed in that band confuses the reader, so the quiet zone is knocked out white by default.
The LU barcode a DSC-10/60 tower reads off every sheet to check set order — [Barcode Check Mode] on the PC CONTROLLER's [Function] → [LUL/LUR] tab. Different kit and different data from the booklet maker barcode above; all three barcodes can print on the same sheet. Build the string here to match [Total Barcode Digit] on that tab.
Per the barcode kit manual: code width 80 mm max including quiet zones, height 5 mm min (8 mm min if the decode match count is 2), narrowest bar 0.254 mm, printed across the paper feed direction. The readable band runs 10–30 mm in from the lead edge depending on the [Overlap Amount] set on the PC CONTROLLER (default 15 mm), and must stay at least 2 mm off the side edge.
Same geometry as the imposition tool and the OMR Generator — drawn on the FRONT of every imposed sheet for the DC-618 / 648 / 746.
Embellishment spot UV & foil on variable data
The plates are built from the same merge and imposition as the print file, so they land in register. They are saved beside it as
…_SpotUV.pdf and …_Foil.pdf. A grey level on the plate is a thickness: black is 80 µm, white is bare.
The template's own coating
No mask files loaded. A mask is black where the coating goes — what Maskwork exports.
Build
One file to send: the print sheet carrying a Spot UV and a Foil layer that can be
switched off in Acrobat. Built from the same imposition as the plates, so the coating sits exactly where it will
on press. The separate plate files still export as before — this is in addition to them.

7 · PDF/VT Record Fields
Document Part Metadata fields (choose which columns describe each recipient):
Destination ICC profile and Output Condition are set once in Settings (⚙) and reused for every PDF/VT export. This is a best-effort ISO 16612-2 structure (DPart hierarchy + DPM + output intent), built from a public whitepaper, not run through an official PDF/VT conformance checker. Validate with a real preflight tool before sending a press job.
8 · Imposed Sheet Slug
"Sheet N of M · Records …" (absolute row numbers from your data file) drawn on the front of every imposed sheet — Export Imposed PDF, Export Imposed PDF/VT, and Preview Imposed PDF all show it. Front-only, matching how the DC Marks in section 5 are already drawn.

ImposeIQ VDP — online edition
Design variable-data pieces — names, numbers, barcodes, QR codes and images — merge them from a spreadsheet and produce print-ready PDF, all in the browser.
This online edition is a demonstration. Everything you see works, and your files never
leave your computer — they are read and built in the browser. Output PDFs carry a DEMO mark and their names end in
“Demo”. The licensed ImposeIQ Suite produces unmarked output.
Desktop-only features
Installed system fonts, separations from MaskWork and saving next to the original file need the desktop Suite; the built-in fonts and any font file you open work here. Settings are kept in this browser only.
