ImposeIQ

Professional Imposition application. Online demo
▾Appearance
Choose a light or dark interface, or follow your system setting.
Gives the sheet preview the space the machine-limit notes take up. The checks still run — if anything is out of limits you get one line saying how many notes are hidden, and unticking this brings them back.
▾Security
Optionally require a password before Settings can be opened. This is a simple local lock for keeping things tidy — not encryption, so it won't stop someone with developer tools access.
▾Default Folders
Native Save/Open dialogs will start in these folders. Requires the desktop app — in a browser, these are ignored and the normal file picker/download is used instead.
▾AI Workflow Folders
The AI Workflow watches a folder for incoming PDFs, identifies the product (business cards, postcards, greeting cards, tri-folds, brochures, die-cut boxes), imposes the best-yield layout with the correct Duplo marks, and drops the finished file in the Complete folder. Originals move to Processed; anything it can't identify moves to Needs Review (both inside the watch folder). Requires the desktop app.
▾Remote Delivery (SFTP)
Automatically push the DC job XML and/or imposed PDF to the DC-648 PC Controller computer over SFTP, key-based auth only — no SMB shares, no exposed passwords. Requires the desktop app on both this machine and the ability to enable OpenSSH Server on the remote one.
One-time setup on the remote (PC Controller) machine
1. Settings → Apps → Optional Features → Add a feature → install OpenSSH Server.
2. Services → find OpenSSH SSH Server → set Startup type to Automatic → Start it.
3. Allow it through Windows Firewall (usually prompted automatically, or add an inbound rule for port 22).
4. Create the folder you entered above as the remote path (the PC Controller's Import XML watch folder).
5. Paste the public key above into C:\Users\<username>\.ssh\authorized_keys for that user (create the file/folder if needed).
6. Come back here and click Test Connection.
▾Machine Settings
Which Duplo machines you own now lives in the suite's own Settings, on the Home screen — one list the Imposer, the OMR Generator and the workflow steps all read, instead of a copy per app. Untick a machine there and its sheet marks disappear from every app at once.
▾Templates
View every saved template's number, name, and description, and delete the ones you no longer need.
▾Press Sheets
Add a custom press sheet size to the Size dropdown, or remove one you no longer need.
▾QR Code Content
Checked parts are joined with "-" in the order shown.
▾DC Marks slug line
Prints the key DC Marks numbers on the front of every imposed sheet, next to the marks themselves, so the operator can dial in the DC without opening the job file. Saved immediately; only drawn when at least one DC mark is on. Shrink Top and Barcode number print only when that mark is enabled.
▾Defaults
These apply on startup and whenever you hit Reset in the toolbar.

Edit DDC & QR Position

Drag a dashed line to move that DDC row. Drag a circle to adjust the shared margin. Drag the QR mark to reposition it. Rows overlapping a keep-out zone are shown in orange — you decide whether to keep them there.

Cut Data

Slit and cut positions for the current layout. Select all and copy, or use the button below.
Export as a sequential cut program for a Duplo HC-series guillotine cutter (HC-550i / HC-680i) — a ready-to-import .csv you copy to a USB stick. Slits first, then a stack rotation, then cuts — see the machine's own Barcode & Import instructions for loading it on the touch screen.
Uses the HC job range in Settings → Job numbers. Untick to type your own.

▾Secure Transfer encrypt PDF/XML for sharing
Encrypts file(s) with a passphrase (AES-256, PBKDF2) before you send them over email, a USB stick, or a shared drive. Without the passphrase the package is unreadable, and if it's altered in transit even by one byte, decryption fails outright rather than silently opening a corrupted file. This protects the file in transit — it isn't a substitute for keeping the sending and receiving computers themselves secure, and it's only as strong as the passphrase you choose.

▾OMR Marks & Barcodes mm
Takes the next free number from the job range in Settings → Job numbers, so two live jobs never share a barcode. Untick to keep whatever you type here.
A small 2D code with the linked MIS job number (e.g. J-260003), fronts only. Placed automatically where no finisher reads: 6 mm clear of every mark and barcode, out of every mark's reader lane (lead to trail), out of the DDC QR reading range and its 80 mm keep-out, and off the artwork and slugs. Not printed until the sheet is linked to an MIS job.
Puts every OMR mark on a switchable PDF layer named “ImposeIQ OMR Marks”, so a prepress operator can hide or delete the marks without touching the artwork. The layer prints by default.
A per-sheet feed barcode for a Duplo booklet system — the DSF feeder reads it off the lead edge of every sheet and the DBM-700 uses it for Barcode Feed Check / Barcode Random set separation. Independent of the DC cutter barcode above; both can print on the same sheet. Build the string from the same fields as the PC CONTROLLER’s DSF-2200 [Details] → [Barcode] screen, then set the same numbers there.
Position defaults are a starting point, not a verified reading zone — confirm the lead-edge window and sensor position against your DSF-2200 / DSF-6000 barcode kit manual and run a test sheet before a live job. The barcode prints on fronts only, in the same mark frame as the OMR marks, so a Booklet layout turns it with them.
A solid black bar on the last sheet of each set. The DSF feeder’s optical sensor watches for it and closes the set — the [End Mark Count] and [End Mark Random] operating modes on the PC CONTROLLER. This is the alternative to the barcode kit above, not a companion to it: a shop with no barcode kit separates sets this way.
The bar prints 100% K — a tint or a screen will not trigger the sensor. It needs 5–10 mm of clear paper all round; anything printed in that band confuses the reader, so the quiet zone is knocked out white by default.
The LU barcode a DSC-10/60 tower reads off every sheet to check set order — [Barcode Check Mode] on the PC CONTROLLER’s [Function] → [LUL/LUR] tab. Different kit and different data from the booklet maker barcode above; all three barcodes can print on the same sheet. Build the string here to match [Total Barcode Digit] on that tab.
Per the barcode kit manual: code width 80 mm max including quiet zones, height 5 mm min (8 mm min if the decode match count is 2), narrowest bar 0.254 mm, printed across the paper feed direction. The readable band runs 10–30 mm in from the lead edge depending on the [Overlap Amount] set on the PC CONTROLLER (default 15 mm), and must stay at least 2 mm off the side edge.
For a marks-only pass over a file that is already imposed duplex: even pages get the 100 mm X mark, odd pages the 76 mm one. Leave it off for a file of fronts. Imposing here always marks both faces correctly on its own.
The register marks stay square to the sheet — only the artwork, its crop marks and its crease/perf lines turn, about the sheet center.
Marks go round the sheet 5 mm in from every edge, as the Digital Die Cut app places them. DPC-400: 5–10 mm circles or dots. DPC-600: 3 mm dots recommended. The QR must read exactly the cut file's name (no extension), 7–10 mm, and is best in the same corner on every job. With marks on their own layer, add the layer name reg marks in DPC Connect (Settings → Standard settings → Import). DPC-2024: its AAS reads four L-shaped corner marks instead (1 mm thick, 11–25 mm long by sheet size, 15 mm from the sides, 10 mm from the lead, 25 mm from the trail) — keep artwork 5 mm inside them. It has no QR recall, and the mark shape, size and spacing above do not apply.
