Build an imposed sheet, add finishing controls, and export the PDF and cutter data as one production job.
Start with the original print-ready PDF. ImposeIQ reads the TrimBox when it is available. If the art has no bleed, mirrored bleed can extend content by 0.125 inch without changing the finished size.
Use Auto when yield is the priority. Manual rows and columns are useful when the finishing pattern, grain direction, or job standard determines the layout. Rotation can improve yield but should follow the production requirement.
Select the physical sheet, then set margins and horizontal/vertical gutters. Lock scale when the finished piece must remain exact. Use preview zoom and fit controls to inspect placement without changing output dimensions.
Choose the back-side orientation that matches the press turn. Gang layouts place different pieces on one sheet; verify each position and back before generating output.
Set the signature size and creep behavior for folded work. Confirm page count, binding direction, and front/back orientation with a folded proof before production.
Enable only the marks required by the Duplo device: registration, skew, shrink, barcode, or QR. Add crease and perforation lines with their correct tool and depth. The optional slug can print key settings on the sheet for the finisher.
Generate the imposed PDF after the preview is correct. Export DC XML for the PC Controller or embed it in the PDF when the workflow supports that handoff. Save the completed settings as a template for repeat jobs.
