ImposeIQ Photo Layout
A customer orders 6 of 10 × 13, 30 wallets and 20 of 4 × 6 from one photograph. Photo Layout crops it to every size, lays the prints out on as few press sheets as it can, and writes the files the Duplo DC needs to cut them apart.
Capabilities
One photograph, every size, cut and stacked.
A Duplo DC slits the full length of the sheet and cuts the full width, so every print has to fill its cell of the grid exactly. Photo Layout plans for that, keeps one size to a lane so the DC-ST100 stacker keeps them apart, and sends the sizes too long to stack to the delivery tray.
- Wallets, 3½ × 5, 4 × 6, 5 × 7, 8 × 10, 10 × 13 and more, in any quantity, each cropped round the point you choose or fitted with a border
- Plans the fewest press sheets: sizes sharing sheets, one size to a layout, or part sheets for the rest — whichever wastes least
- Every layout is a grid the DC can cut, within its slit, cut, gutter and margin limits, for the DC-618, DC-648 or DC-746
- One size to a lane for the DC-ST100, three lanes across or five with the side guides, with stack heights from the card’s thickness
- A press PDF with the DC registration mark and job barcode, the job number in figures, a slug line and a 2D code on every sheet
- The 2D code carries the file name and “Sheet n of total”, in the lower right corner where the OMR Generator puts its code
- A Duplo DC job XML for each layout, with a cut block for every print
- The operator’s job sheet: each DC JOB, the sheets to feed, the stacker settings and each lane’s prints and stacks
- Zoom into the sheet with the mouse wheel and drag it around to check a crop or a mark
