ImposeIQ Utilities guide

Quick starts, outputs, and troubleshooting for Maskwork, Preflight, SecureBridge, Tagger, and DC Series XML Converter.

Maskwork

Use it when

A spot UV, foil, or sleeking plate must register to printed artwork.

  1. Open the PDF and choose a page.
  2. Paint, erase, detect, or import the mask regions.
  3. Use repeat detection when the same record appears across an imposed sheet.
  4. Inspect the 3D finish preview.
  5. Export a registered PDF or TIFF plate.

Outputs: PDF or TIFF plate; PNG or GIF preview.

  • Offset mask: verify page boxes and import alignment.
  • Missing region: adjust detection threshold or paint it directly.
  • Large output: reduce DPI only when the production device permits it.

ImposeIQ Preflight

Use it when

An incoming PDF needs a fast report before production, without modifying the file.

  1. Open the PDF.
  2. Review page geometry and boxes.
  3. Check real bleed and embedded fonts.
  4. Save or communicate the findings.
  5. Move to Preflight Repair when a correction is required.

Output: inspection findings; the PDF remains unchanged.

  • Unexpected size: compare MediaBox and TrimBox.
  • Bleed warning: inspect artwork beyond trim.
  • Font warning: request an embedded-font PDF or use Preflight Repair with the correct font.

SecureBridge

Use it when

Finished files must move securely between two computers without an SMB share.

  1. Install or open SecureBridge at both ends.
  2. Exchange and trust the Ed25519 public keys.
  3. Configure the SFTP host and destination.
  4. Place a test file in the outbox.
  5. Confirm it appears in the receiving inbox.

Output: an encrypted SFTP delivery and receiving inbox.

  • Connection fails: check host, port, and firewall.
  • Authentication fails: verify the paired public key.
  • File remains in outbox: inspect connection status and destination access.

Tagger

Use it when

A PDF filename should come from marks or values printed on the job.

  1. Create or select a profile.
  2. Choose the marks and values to read.
  3. Build the filename pattern and delimiter.
  4. Preview the result with a sample name or file.
  5. Drop files or start the watched folders.

Output: consistently renamed PDFs and optional applied marks.

  • No value found: confirm the selected mark exists on the page.
  • Name is malformed: inspect delimiter and value order.
  • Watcher is idle: verify incoming and outgoing folder access.

DC Series XML Converter

Use it when

Cutter job data must be converted into the DuploDCJobTemplate XML expected by PC Controller.

  1. Open the supported source job file.
  2. Confirm the cut, crease, and perforation values.
  3. Choose the XML destination.
  4. Convert the job.
  5. Import or deliver the XML to the PC Controller watch path.

Output: DuploDCJobTemplate XML.

  • Import fails: confirm the PC Controller expects the same XML family.
  • Cut data differs: compare units and finished dimensions.
  • Watcher does not see it: confirm file name, extension, and destination folder.
