Quick start
- Select the inserter or booklet-maker pattern.
- Configure the sequence, match, integrity, barcode, or QR values.
- Set mark position and orientation for the sheet path.
- Process a sample PDF and test it at the machine.
- Start the watched folder only after the sample reads correctly.
Device pattern
Choose the pattern family expected by the finishing equipment. Mark order, parity, spacing, and reading direction are machine requirements—not visual preferences.
Marks and codes
Sequence marks establish order. Match and integrity marks help keep components together. Barcodes and QR codes carry additional job or record identity when the device supports them.
Watched folders
Choose separate incoming and output folders. Keep originals outside the output path and avoid pointing a watcher at its own destination.
Verify output
Print a representative sample at production scale. Confirm contrast, clear space, position, reading direction, sequence changes, and the machine's response before releasing the run.
Troubleshooting
- Marks do not read: check device pattern, orientation, contrast, and scale.
- Sequence is wrong: verify starting value and page/record order.
- Watcher repeats output: separate the input and output folders.
- Barcode fails: inspect data format and quiet zone.
