Quick start
- Open the print-ready PDF.
- Inspect pages, layers, and spot inks.
- Assign separate spot UV and foil channels and align them to the print.
- Choose the finish, substrate, product shape, camera, and lighting.
- Export a PNG, GIF, MP4, or plate file.
Artwork
Begin with the final PDF whenever possible. Review its page, layers, and spot separations before assigning effects so the preview matches the production intent.
Embellishment channels
Keep spot UV and foil in separate channels. Use alignment controls when a mask or separation does not land precisely over the print. The wand can add selected artwork regions directly to a finish channel.
Finishes
Choose DuSense spot UV textures, foil families, emboss or deboss depth, and lamination. Compare plain and embellished views before adjusting material intensity.
Product scenes
Preview a flat sheet, folded card, presentation folder, carton (printed on the front, or one artwork wrapped round all four sides), Z-fold or accordion brochure (3, 4 or 6 panels, with an adjustable fold), book with a real spine, hang tag, table tent, door hanger, wine bottle, cosmetic bottle or beverage can. Set substrate, printed-piece dimensions, environment, key light, floor, camera, and preview quality. The studio opens on a plain gray gradient backdrop with Daylight window lighting and no floor; switch Backdrop to The room to see the environment or a photo behind the piece.
Export
Use PNG for a still approval image, GIF for a lightweight loop, and MP4 for a smooth motion presentation. Plate export produces the embellishment separation rather than the customer preview.
Troubleshooting
- Effect is offset: return to channel alignment.
- Foil looks flat: adjust the light or camera before increasing intensity.
- Scene shape is wrong: confirm the selected product and dimensions.
- Animation is too large: reduce dimensions, duration, or quality.
